The Lake Erie Yearly Meeting (LEYM) Spiritual Formation Program is for anyone who thirsts for a deeper spiritual life. The program provides a flexible structure for spiritual development. It balances between enough structure to guide us and plenty of flexibility to be customized to each of our needs. Friends from across LEYM gather for retreats in the fall and the spring, while local groups meet regularly during the program season.
Spiritual Formation is a nine-month program which began with a kick off retreat in September 2017.
Between retreats, local groups meet on a regular basis. The Red Cedar Friends groups will have an organizing meeting in September. The retreats are very wonderful experiences and prepare participants for a deeper experience during the year. While you do not have to attend the September retreat in order to participate, it is strongly encouraged.
The local group begins again in September 2018. Stay tuned for details.
The Spiritual Formation Program’s local Red Cedar Friends group will open to new and returning members in September. The local group meets twice a month. One meeting is for discussion of the readings that our group has chosen. The other meeting of the month is for sharing and support in developing and/or following our own spiritual disciplines.
