LEYM’s Spiritual Formation program will offer its Fall Retreat September 6-8, 2019, at the Weber Retreat Center, Adrian, Michigan. Traditionally, the program has offered companionship and resources to support and hear about one another’s individual growth in the Light. This year, we intend to take another step along the path. With Joann Neuroth’s leadership, we’ll explore how Meetings can undertake CORPORATE spiritual development in order to create “crucibles” where individuals can better hear and discern their part in God’s call to heal the world … and “incubators” where the gifts we need to answer that call are honed, honored and supported. Join us for “Meetings as Crucibles and Incubators” by printing a registration form and mailing it to the registrar with your registration fee.
A follow-up one-day Spring Retreat will be on Saturday, May 2, 2020. Between the Fall and Spring retreats, Monthly Meetings organize bi-weekly meetings of local participants – usually using one of the sessions to discuss a reading and the other to share spiritual journeys and discuss whatever corporate spiritual practice the group has decided to experiment with. Last year, Red Cedar Friends offered three spiritual formation groups, and soon we will call a meeting to organize our group(s) for this coming year.
