LEYM Spring Spiritual Formation Retreat Saturday, May 5, 2018
9:00 am to 4:30 pm
Hosted by Red Cedar Friends Meeting
1400 Turner St, Lansing, MI 48906
Theme: Forgiveness as a Spiritual Practice
Leader: Sue Regen
About the program. Anger, fear, hurt, and pain hinder us from feeling connected with Spirit and our own healing energies. Choosing to practice forgiveness can move us closer to Spirit and inner peace and renew our relationship with self and others. Our focus will be on using tools and techniques for doing forgiveness work, not on therapy. The day will include presentations, guided meditation, quiet worship, practical exercises, and group and individual time.
About the leader: Sue Regen travels in the ministry encouraging Friends to practice forgiveness as a spiritual discipline. Her concern originated in and has profoundly affected her personal life. Since 2002, Sue has led workshops on forgiveness for numerous monthly meetings across the country, at Friends General Conference (FGC)’s annual Gathering, at Pendle Hill, and other retreat centers.
This retreat is a follow-up to a LEYM (Lake Erie Yearly Meeting) spiritual deepening retreat held last fall in Adrian, Michigan, but the retreat is OPEN TO ALL ATTENDERS OF RED CEDAR FRIENDS MEETING, whether you participated in the fall retreat or not. This is an opportunity to meet new Friends from around the LEYM area (Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, Detroit, Birmingham, and Grand Rapids here in Michigan, and several meetings in Ohio and beyond) and you are cordially invited!!!
Cost for the meeting is $20.00 and includes light breakfast and a lunch.
To get an accurate count for lunch please let Registrar Aran Reinhart know you are coming. Aran’s email is firstname.lastname@example.org and his phone number is 419.619.6810.
