  • April 15 - Tax Day Picket, Join the Peace Education Center and Greater Lansing Network Against War and Injustice in handing out leaflets to promote using our tax money in more positive, peaceful ways, “Surge Peaceful Alternatives, Health, Education, Green Jobs, Diplomacy.” Collins Road Post office, 6-8:30 pm

  • April 16 & 17 - Women’s Center’s annual Hope and Healing Event with songs and readings in support of those fleeing abusive relationships. Among others, Becky Payne will read an essay. 4/16, Snyder Hall, MSU, 4/17 Creole Gallery. 7:30 pm

  • April 18 -  Peace Education Center’s Annual Meeting & Potluck. Public invited, bring mementos of PEC history in preparation for 40th anniversary, 4-7 pm - Unitarian Universalist Church, 455 Grove Street , East Lansing

  • April 22 - Peace Education Center ’s Youth Outreach Program hosts an evening: “Talking about Recruiting.” Hear about military recruiting in high schools and related topics. Learn how to talk to the youth in your life about military service, Get involved in outreach - Unitarian Universalist Church , 855 Grove Street , East Lansing

  • April 22 -  Movie Presentation: Burning the Future, Coal in America , 6-8 pm. Room 213 Foster Community Center 200 N. Foster, Lansing

  • April 25 -  Join the FGC Gathering 2010 Planning Committee. Since the 2010 FGC is in our area, we are invited to get involved by joining the planning committee.   • May 16 - City Wide Parade Lansing Area Human Rights is sponsoring a float, and we at Red Cedar have agreed to march with their group. They will provide a sign saying "Red Cedar supports human rights for all." Bring the kids!

  • June 11-14 - Lake Erie Yearly Meeting, “Reflecting Light: Seeing Ourselves in the Other.” Plenary by Max Carter, Guilford College . Workshops, worship, business meetings, bookstore, children’s program and more. See LEYM online for more. Bluffton University , Bluffton , Ohio Total cost: around $160, scholarships available through Red Cedar for anyone, and LEYM for first time attenders, Web link
